Storyboard

Storyboard

In my production i will be trying to to create a trailer for a new drama film that will be released in winter 2011. The film is based on a 18 year old boy mourning his mothers death as well as facing different obstacles along the way. I feel that many young people will maybe able to relate to some of the events which happen in the film. As well as the main characters mother passing away he also faces many relationship problems and getting picked on by certain social groups due to the way he looks. As the film gradually goes on the main character's thoughts start to become misguided and psychotic. Throughout the film we see the main protagonist battle through drugs and alcohol addictions to try and ease the pain which he is feeling. Many of the shots will be very iconic which i use in my trailer, for example the shot showing the main character placing flowers down at his mothers grave will be a very emotional shot to do and will invoke and emotion response from the audience. The first four shot i use will show the main protagonist waiting in the rain for a bus. This shot will gradually zoom into his face which then smiles. I feel that producing a storyboard gives anyone a chance to show some of their ideas on paper, it also allows you to show how long each shot it going to last.
